MUKTI
is a social organization dedicated to helping physically
challenged people. Inaugurated on 14th April 1986, the
patron members include the following eminent people.

MUKTI has been involved in fitting
custom made artificial limbs and hands to amputees in
India. This is done by setting up camps in and around
Chennai and Andhra Pradesh and in Nepal. First International
camp using HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) technology
was conducted at St. Lucia in West Indies, in Association
with Rotary International.

Mukti has its second artificial limb
centre at Kottakuppam near Pondicherry serving the amputees
and polio victims.
Mukti centre in Pondicherry has guest
rooms, a vegetarian restaurant, curio shop, an art Gallery
& an art studio.
Each segment
of Mukti centre at Pondicherry is to benefit, eventually,
Mukti's cardinal cause, which is namely: providing artificial
limbs, free of cost, to amputees; creating a barrier
free environment for physically challenged people; and
also working at building avenues to integrate such people
within the mainstream.
Talented and up coming physically challenged
artists will be given boarding facilities at our unit
in Pondicherry. Mukti organies inter active sessions
cum art workshop every month, at the gallery where the
upcoming physically challenged artists will have a chance
to observe, learn, and be guided by the famous artists
like Shri. K.M.Adimoolam, Shri. C.Dakshinamoorthy, Shri.
Laxma Goud, Shri. J.M.S. Mani and Shri. V.Solanki who
have established themselves in the field of fine arts.

has completed 50 toilets in 50 Huts in Kttukuppam
